No real competition!

Just kids having fun!

Friends playing with... and against... friends!

But kids need a little competition. Not always a lot ... but a little!

The idea of a mid-season  tournament called the Sound Cup was a terrific idea, but having a soccer tournament in the middle of the summer, on a weekend, in cottage country.... well... lets just say that the first year...  it did not go over so great!

So, the PSSC came up with the idea of a year long tournament in the style of the FA Cup, the Canadian Nutralite Championships, or even the Champions League. This tournament, where applicable, is a single knockout  tournament, in which the winners advance until there is only one team left! And they are crowned the Sound Cup Champions... complete with Cup and medals!

Depending upon the amount of teams in each division, a single game knokout is prefered, but sometimes a round robin is neccessary, and again, sometimes 2 round robins, with the winners facing each other.

The 2009 season has brought forth a new sponsor in Gordon Bay Marine, and every team in each division from U7 up, will compete for bragging rights and to get their name on the GORDON BAY MARINE SOUND CUP.
